I was talking to a fellow marketing of mine, Jocelyn Jones, last week about how to implement teamwork into a direct sales business to build the team, and then to what extreme would you take that concept. Our discussion kept returning back to a well known networking technique called Tribe Marketing.
Tribes are a group of marketers that contribute in boosting each other’s business by writing comments on their blogs, digging their articles, tweeting about them, penning testimonials, giving ratings and comments on their videos at Youtube, and anything else that will aid in building the names of the people in their group. If applied in the correct way his can be exceedingly powerful.
Searching for people to work with is very easy, all you have to do is call for the people you know, who are in your own business niche, and people that are in communities on your social networking sites like Facebook or LinkedIn. Explain to them that by helping each other you build credibility in other people’s eyes and that’s what grows a solid business in this industry.
There is an appropriate way and an improper way to do this. The improper way of doing this is to have a little group of 3 people and keep providing each other 2 way link backs. If you are using this technique for SEO marketing, doing it this way will completely defeat the entire purpose of what you are trying to achieve. Search engines don’t like this can very easily observe this activity, which can get your site banished.
The right way is to get a large group of people, preferably at least 15-20. Then organize the group to facilitate each other. For example, I decide to help promote my friend John’s content, he promotes Suzie’s, and Suzie promotes mine. See, how easily it works? One way linking is how you enhance your ranking in search engines. The more people you accumulate in the group, the more one way links you can build.
Anyway, Jocelyn was telling me about her team with TVI Express how they use the Tribe concept in an unique and highly successful way. Unlike majority of the downline groups or teams in formal MLM’s where they make use of the original Tribe Marketing to establish separate teams, Jocelyn’s team promotes the group and segments the new members evenly among the team. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a member or how many people you’ve personally recruited either.
Every member of the team gets to opt for their own marketing strategy, they’d like to do to assist in promoting the team, so you never get bound doing something you don’t like. If you have just joined network marketing, or just don’t know what to do, the team will even facilitate you in searching something and teach you how to do it. Every member participates and everyone benefits.
In fact, their team motto is “No one is left behind”.
Does this really work? You can get your reply from Mrs. Jones, if it does. In 40 days and for less than a $300 investment, she has a downline of about 80 people, has got all of her cash back, and has also attained a nice big fat check of $10,000. She personally registered only a couple of her 80 group members, and got the rest as the team works in mass together providing them the ability to establish a larger team in a smaller span of time, that it would take if every individual person undertook the activity of building their teams on their own.
So, does it work? Construct a team and let your upshots speak for themselves.
